My work is influenced by my Orthodox Christian faith and also travels in Europe and the Middle East.
I make mainly decorative ceramics with a dark chocolate brown clay. After hand-building , I paint the raw clay with coloured “slip” (liquid clay), then “oncefire” to earthenware temperature.
To finish the pieces I add 24 carat gold leaf and polish with beeswax to enhance the colours.
