I went to college to do art and design thinking that I would either do interior or graphic design. A textile exhibition full of fantastic wall hangings and textures, at the V&A in London, changed my mind. I was hooked and from that moment I began to explore weaving and making 3D textile structures. My work involves using small and sometimes improvised equipments and less traditional weaving techniques such as Japanese Kumihimo, sprang, card and finger weaving, knotting and even lace making. I use many different fibers including copper wire. I like to explore different techniques and stretching myself to the limit
