Cam Valley Arts Trail Group - who are we?
Cam Valley Arts Trail Group is an organisation made up of local artists and craftspeople that formed in March 2013 to set up a new annual arts trail for our local area. The aim of the group is to run annual arts trail and support local artists and craftspeople that live and work in and around the Cam Valley. The group is run by a volunteer committee of artist members.
The Cam Valley is located centrally between Bristol, Bath and Wells just north of the Mendips (see map). The Arts Trail name is a direct reference to our area and the type of trail we wanted to be. 'Cam' has been taken from name of brook running through the area and the use of 'arts' rather than 'art' we felt reflects the more diverse nature of talents we want to attract and share.

Membership
We have well over 40 members in our group from complete beginners to professional artists who have been selling their work for many years. You can find more information about each artist via our Artist Members page. The common thread between all our members is that they all produce their own original artwork. As members, artists are able to promote their work and events on this website, have access to member only resources, take part in member only events and have the benefit of being covered by our insurance for group activities.
Event fees are not included in the membership but costs will be kept to a minimum to cover expenses eg publicity & venue hire. Membership fees will go towards supporting the insurance, the website and admin costs. The Cam Valley Arts Trail Group remains a non-profit organisation with many hours of organisation being given on a voluntary basis. Membership costs £15pa and will run from 1st April - 31st March.
