Gina creates vibrant, emotive mixed media paintings and has an array of work which can be encapsulated by her love of the sea, florals, poetry, gold and above all working with rich textures. She creates shoreline seascapes as this is her favourite place to sit and contemplate.
Gina loves to create her smaller emotive paintings of hearts, hot air balloons and stars using acrylic paint before cutting by hand and adding either gold leaf, sparkles or both. Since creating these smaller paintings Gina has been commissioned to paint larger versions some of which have been personalised with anniversary dates and names. However, 2020 has been an exciting year for Gina creatively and it’s seen her move towards abstract paintings. Some of these paintings have been inspired by the poetry of her late grandfather where she collages lines from his poems onto and into her work. Some of Gina’s originals have been made into prints and greetings cards to provide lots of choice and a range of prices. These paintings were inspired by a poem entitled 'Finding peace thoughts' which was written by my late Grandfather. He was born in 1908 and saw so many changes in his lifetime and loved to write poetry about his experiences.

Great Gladness
An original mixed media painting in acrylic on paper. 18 x 24 cm mounted £65 +p&p My grandfather typed most of his poems on a typewriter. I have copied his original typed poem and interwoven and collaged pieces into my painting. The pops of coloured spots are my fingerprints which represent the love of others around us. This seemed the perfect way to combine the creative work of my grandfather with mine. More Info

The love of four

We are all shining stars in our own right and its love that ties us all together. Each star or heart starts as a larger abstract painting using acrylic paint and using palette knife to give the paint a rich and textural look and feel.
