I'm a largely self taught artist and printmaker, working for the most part in pastel, oil pastel, ink and acrylic for my paintings; and relief, screenprint, and monotype in my printmaking.

​I gained a foundation diploma in art and design at Bath college in 2014, and since then have taking on commissions for animal and human portraits, as well as creating a few self - directed print editions.

Commissions 
I work mainly in soft pastel but also can work with oil pastel or acrylic. My commission work covers portraits of people or animals - domestic or wild - either head or full body. It typically takes about three weeks from discussion of what is required, some digital sketches to be done of the subject, to completion of the finished piece. I can arrange for framing if preferred, though I would require at least a month's notice from first contact to finished, framed item but as a rule the more notice the better! I work from photo reference, so would ask for as many good quality, detailed shots as possible - I can't do much with small or blurry photos but I often use photoshop to adjust light and contrast, etc., on photographs to pick out as much detail as possible. I ask for payment on completion once the client is happy with the finished piece, with the exception of framing, if I'm to organise that. Then I would ask for the cost of framing up front once the job has been quoted for, and framing price agreed.
