3D woven pieces using a variety of materials and fibres
I make 3D pieces using a variety of weaving techniques : sprang, ply spit, a Japanese braiding technique called "Kumihimo", twining, finger weaving. I mostly use natural fibers (silk, cotton, linen) copper wire and paper. I pursue an idea however challenging and most of my work is labour intensive and slow moving. I also tend to work on a theme and make a group of pieces based on that theme. I like to challenge myself and push the boundaries of my abilities.
