Exploring using plant materials to make ink.
As an extension of my interest in using natural fibres for handspinning, I have been exploring how to obtain ink from natural, mainly plant, materials - this is (slightly...) less messy and space-consuming! I am particularly interested in how the colours and substances interact - there is quite a lot of chemistry going on, and the colours can change due to heat, the type of paper used, other substances mixed with them, and exposure to light and time. Every material becomes something to experiment with.
