Vibrant, delicate landscapes, flora and fauna hand painted on silk
Stephanie Gay paints colourful and arresting yet delicate images of British Landscapes, Flora and Fauna on Chinese silk. Her inspiration primarily comes from the beauty of the natural world and she enjoys experimenting with scale and context, attempting to create works that communicate energy, enthusiasm and a sense of fun to the viewer.
Born in Somerset but having lived in Berkshire for almost 30 years, in 2019 she moved to the North Somerset coast with her husband Andrew and miniature poodle Frankie. In 2017 she won the Berkshire and Buckinghamshire Life Landscape Painter of the Year.
