Botanical inks
Over the last year, I have continued exploring and learning about making colour from plant materials. One of the most interesting aspects of this fascinating media is that these colours can change each time you use a plant material, depending on variables such as when and how the material is prepared, temperature and time, and the make-up of the paper it is applied to. But I think it is worth it to see just what colours can be found in sometimes rather unpromising materials such as dried up peelings and fallen flowers.
