Stained glass

Much of my work starts with sketching from nature, I then refine these down to a design and choose colours before starting the crafting process of cutting glass. Once pieces fit perfectly, I can start the painting of pigment and scraping back to create an image. I fire the results permanently into the now stained glass and may return to layer up effects. I then cut and solder lead and cement and polish before being able to see the glass in natural light with all its variations. I hope to make some fused glass again, time will tell.
