Gaynor Leverett - Jaques

Vibrant and unique oil paintings inspired by British plants and gardens.
Working in oil paints, using the alla prima (wet-on-wet) technique, Gaynor's paintings focus on the bright, bold colours traditionally found in British gardens. Much inspiration comes from her own garden, (including her 'Late Blooming'series), or from visiting larger country gardens.
Gaynor has lived and worked in the West Country since the early 1980s and loves capturing the area in paintings, sketches and photographs, from her off-centre viewpoint and in her own distinctive style.
