Jane WillsEnamelled bowls, autumn leaves and jewellery on copper and silver.
As a child, I spent hours sorting brightly coloured textile samples for my father's work and poking around in my grandfather's metal workshop. These influences have come together in later life in a love affair with enamelling. My jewellery is varied and colourful - earrings, pendants, brooches, cufflinks on copper, but some items on pure silver, showing the transparent beauty of enamel. I enjoy enamelling small copper bowls and dishes, a larger 'canvas' upon which to experiment. I often turn the kiln up very high, which can lead to stunning colour effects - my abstract 'Paintings in a pot' range.
