Screen-printed designs on linen and paper.
Contemporary and striking designs from original drawings are transferred by hand onto screens for printing on linen and handmade paper. Each design is drawn and painted onto a screen, making a negative to print with. When the screen is ready the image is then printed on either individual pieces of linen or paper. When printing on linen, the inks need to be made fast by heat, before being made up into tablecloths, napkins etc. More intricate designs are made to be printed on handmade rag paper from an ancient watermill in Somerset. These prints are framed and mounted.
