Richard Lane
After spending 35 years teaching other to Design and Make, I recently decided that it was time to put myself to the test and develop my skills in a medium that I had little experience of, but had always been fascinated by.
Although I have designed many products over my professional life, I have never concentrated on a single style, material or concept. My woodturning style is slowly developing, with a current preference for native hardwoods, often with the use of added colour, texture, or more unusual timbers in order to add to the appearance and texture of the product.
