Mixed media paintings inspired by the North Somerset coastline.
I am a former art teacher, who worked abroad for 25 years before returning to the UK to concentrate on my own art work again. Living in Weston-super-Mare I initially gained inspiration from the dramatic skies that we experience here on a daily basis. Now I am focussing more on the small and overlooked aspects of this beautiful shoreline - the geological formations of the water's edge. I work predominately with watercolours and inks and have recently started making my own paints from natural earth pigments.
