Terry Bridgeman

Working in watercolour, mixed media and acrylic, my paintings tend to be impressionist or abstract. I like to combine a fairly loose expressive way of applying paint with more clearly defined marks in an effort to capture the spirit of the subject. My subjects are mostly found in the immediate area where I live, the village of Paulton. Once something has captured my imagination I usually produce several paintings on the same theme; but all individual and in no way identical.
Recent examples are paintings of flower borders in my garden and sections of field hedgerows. These are just a stone's throw from my studio and some are shown here.  Since I never have prints made of my paintings each piece is totally unique.
